I got a 2016 Acadia SLT-1 and I'm considering to swap my engine with something from the newer generation. I read some models from 2017 to 2023 also run on a 3.6L V6 and I saw one being sold about $1500 cheaper than the one for the 2016. Thoughts?

A bold project which I think you should reconsider, unless you're really into doing it. It's a different platform, so everything is different, mounting points, routings, ecu, wiring harness, literally everything. This means you'll have a lot of fabrication to get it to fit and to make it work. I wouldn't say it's impossible, but it's gonna be a lot of work, so go for it if you're up for a challenge
