Fixing a front-end clunk on my '09 Enclave

I've already done the timing chains, front struts, sway bar bushings, and outer tie rods, but I've still got this annoying clunk when turning the wheel at a stop. I'm thinking it's the control arm bushings, I noticed some play under the floor jack and I am hoping it's nothing with the steering rack

FWD or AWD Acadia? If your Acadia is around 12-14 years old, the control arms might be the problem. The sway bar bushings could be rusted and causing issues too,give them and the control arms a spray with some PB Blaster or silicone lube, then turn the wheel to see if that helps. Also, take a look at the upper strut mount cushions and bolts. If they're rusty or loose, that could lead to problems

Ok then yeah, control arm bushings would be my next guess too, especially with that what you just described. Fingers crossed it's not the rack.

Thanks for the tips, I'll check the sway bar bushings and upper strut mounts for rust and looseness like you said

don't rule out the steering rack entirely just yet too, try having someone turn the wheel while you're underneath feeling for movement
